Guided Tour of New York City. See the highlights of New York City with our Local Tour Guide. Hear informative commentary on the history and people that shaped NYC.
Lunch on your own
Shopping at 5th Ave. If you're a fashion-focused NYC Tourist, shopping at the New York stores on Fifth Avenue is a definite must during your stay in the Big Apple. NY shopping is an entirely different experience than shopping in another city, especially along this historical road.

Visit Statue of Liberty & Ellis island. A must-see stop for anyone visiting New York City, as it is one of the most iconic elements to the Big Apple.

The 911 Memorial. Once the location of the famous twin towers, this site is now home to unforgettable memories in American History.

Visit the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham, VT. An American catalog, retail, and e-commerce business based in Vermont. The company was established in 1946 and is operated by the Orton family.
Depart to Stowe
Check in to the Von Trapp Family Lodge. The Trapp Family Lodge is more than just a hotel; it’s a family home with years and years of history in its walls. Explore the property, and learn about our family’s extensive history.

DAY EIGHT

Maple Farm - You'll travel to Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, where maple syrup is "tapped" from the trees. Taste a Vermont tradition, the unusually named ‘sugar on snow’, served alongside a doughnut and pickle.
Apple Cider Farm - No visit to New England in the Fall is complete without apples! If the presses are running, we will watch them make fresh cider, or at least have samples and apple cider doughnuts.
Ben & Jerry's - During a guided tour of the Ben and Jerry's Factory, you will get the behind the scenes stories of their iconic flavors.
Return to the Lodge where the rest of the day is yours. From wandering its quaint streets to hiking in the woods or relaxing back at your lodge, make the most of your last evening at this mountain resort. Spend time learning more about the true story of the Von Trapp Family!
Dinner is on your own this evening. The lodge offers several dining options from casual to formal, or enjoy a quaint New England meal in Stowe.

Check out of Hotel
Journey to New Hampshire’s White Mountains and enter striking Franconia Notch. Take a scenic ride on Mt Washington Cog Railway (weather permitting). On a clear day, you'll have superb panoramic views. Be sure to pack a coat, as Mt. Washington boasts some of the strongest wind records on the planet! Then, more spectacular fall foliage awaits as you journey through Crawford Notch, an arresting pass through the White Mountains. Stop for pictures at the Silver Cascade Waterfall and Bretton Woods, which offers stunning views of Mount Washington, the tallest peak in the northeast at 6,288 feet (1,917 metres).

DAY TEN

Journey through the dazzling crimson and orange hues of the famed Kancamagus Scenic Byway to North Conway. This spectacular section of Route 112 is awe-inspiring, and boasts 34.5 miles of untouched natural beauty.
After lunch, we will guide you on a scenic hike to Diana's Baths, which is a series of small cascading waterfalls that we reach along a forest path.
Return to your hotel where you can enjoy an evening at leisure.

Cross from New Hampshire into Maine this morning visiting the jagged coastline and Portland Head Light on the spectacular shores of Fort Williams Park. This popular landmark is one of the most visited lighthouses in the country and is the oldest lighthouse in the state. Visit the historic town of Cape Elizabeth, and spend the rest of your afternoon at leisure. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Celebration Dinner featuring Maine lobster with your fellow travellers.

What if I can't do all 12 days?
At TourDCwithUS, we give you the flexibility you need. Choose the whole tour or join us for just New York City or New England. Contact us for pricing.
Do I need to be Vaccinated in order to join this Tour?
Yes. In order to join this Tour all passengers must show proof of full vaccination. Please see the following State Guidelines to be informed. Some of the States are requiring that if you are not vaccinated, then a negative PCR test is needed before you can enter.
What if I do not want to get Vaccinated?
We understand and respect your choice not to be vaccinated but for this specific tour we stand with our decision to only accept those who have been vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated and would like us to plan a private tour for you and your friends and family, we are happy to do so.
Will travel to these states be open by then?
We are monitoring each State's situation and guidelines regularly. Please note that if CDC guidelines prevent us from visiting locations listed on the itinerary, we will make every means possible to replace it. This is why we are only selling the Tour with Travel Insurance included.
We are hopeful that as more vaccinations are administered more regulations will be relaxed.
Is this tour open to all ages?
YES! This tour is open to travelers of all ages.
How much Walking will we be doing each day?
The level of activity for this tour is Leisurely. This means up to 2 miles of walking each day primarily on flat or paved surfaces. Some stairs may be involved. In General, we equate leisurely activities to walking the perimeter of Walmart or Costco.
Are tips included?
Tips for Restaurants, Hotels, and Porterage are included in the Tour price. For your Tour Director, Driver, and Local Guides, tips are not expected but always appreciated.
What are the Safety Measures on your Tour?
On board of coach buses the social distancing will be respected.
The Hotels, Restaurants, Museums, and venues that we choose, respect the measures indicated by CDC Guidelines.
Personal protective equipment will be provided every day to the travelers and will be used as well by the staff all along the tour.
Disinfection of the surfaces in the bus will be regularly monitored.

** If your arrival and/or departure flights are as per the itinerary start and end dates, then transfers are available at scheduled times. If your flights are outside these times, or you have booked additional nights accommodation with TourDCwithUS, you may purchase transfers or make your own way to the Hotel.
